A Muslim’s thoughts on terrorism – | The Kansas City Star
Jun 3, 2014 – The answer is yes; one is the antithesis of the other. For no religion on earth should be afforded the courtesy of being called a religion if it condones murder. If Muslims are not protesting loudly enough against terrorism, perhaps it’s because we cannot relate or identify with a terrorist any more than non-Muslims.
Notable religious scholars like former president of the Islamic Society of North America Dr. Ingrid Matson was one of four keynotes for the event. Matson spoke about her heroes Hajar and Saffiyah. Senator Corey Booker “America is not a nation of tolerance but a nation of love,” said Booker.
The day-long event culminated in a panel discussion moderated by American comedian and host of SiriusXM Progress “The Dean Obeidallah Show,” the only daily national radio show hosted by a Muslim American.
Inas Younis co-wrote a story for KCPT’s “Muslim in the Metro” program that featured Muslims from around the Kansas City area. One such person mentioned in her story was Islamic Society of Greater Kansas City leader Fadi Banyalmarjeh.
Inas Younis did not report Fadi’s ties to the Muslim Brotherhood through the Muslim American Society or leadership roles with ISGKC. Inas Younis omitted from her story that Fadi Banyalmarjeh served on the BOD for ISGKC along side HAMAS supporter Mohamed El-Housiny and Mahbubur Rahman. Rahman started the petition posted online the Patrick Poole exposed in 2012. ISGKC petitioned for a ban on the 1st Amendment of the U.S. Constitution just two weeks after the September 11, 2012 attacks in Benghazi, Libya. VIDEO BELOW
Below is an online debate Inas took part in with other KC area Muslims.
Inas Younis also had some problems with Sheikh Omar Suleiman when they tried to gender segregate at a KC conference. Details at the bottom of this page.
