The story from the Shawnee Mission Post details the secretive nature of the resignation of a member of the citizen review board for police bias complaints in Overland Park. The story from the post goes on to quote American Muslim Council Heartland Chapter leader, Mahnaz Shabbir. Mahnaz is also a Member of the Overland Park Police Department citizen review board as quoted below from the Shawnee Post recent story SEPTEMBER 25, 2019
Richard S. Kaiser Jr., — who goes by Rick — submitted his resignation “under protest” through his lawyer during the council’s Sept. 9 meeting, and it was accepted without comment from the city. The meeting agenda had announced the council would discuss his removal, but the closed session was cancelled once his resignation was made known. So far no one from the city will comment beyond acknowledging the resignation.
So I am not really sure about anything related to Richard S. Kaiser, and I cannot ever recall hearing the name….. I am going to completely ignore Richard in this post…..
The Shawnee Mission Post quoted Mahnaz Shabbir in the story, excerpt below.
Member Mahnaz Shabbir noted that the board also discusses other bias-related issues with the department. On the urging of the board, the city recently added a Spanish translation to the website instructions on filing a complaint, she said.
Why didn’t the Shawnee Post ask Mahnaz Shabbir about AMC and Alamoudi? Ask her why she invited AMC’s Eric Vickers to Kansas City after former Senator Arlen Specter addressed AMC’s DESTROY America comments just 3 months prior to the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center? Overland Park is Sharia compliant, and the Shawnee Mission Post….. well…. they probably know about all this and won’t or are unable say anything due to PC culture.
